HOW SHOULD I PRAY? 

 

James 5 verse 19: The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

If you are not sure how to pray, here are some examples. 

We hope they inspire you in your own prayers.  Just take one or two (or more).  God Bless you! 

 

PLEASE PRAY…. 

​

• For the children that are abused emotionally, physically and sexually.  Pray for their physical rescue and spiritual salvation and for healing of their spirits and bodies.  Ask the Lord that He would send someone with a heart full of love to come alongside them and point them to the Lord Jesus.  Pray that they will not feel abandoned and alone. 

 

• For the parents and families that have had a child abducted and trafficked.  Pray that their child might be rescued.  Ask the Lord to heal their broken hearts, to give them strength and for them to find peace in Him. 

 

• For the parents who are allowing their children to be trafficked.  Ask the Lord to open their eyes to their sin and pray that the Lord would save them.  Most cases of abuse are committed by one or more parents. Some parents even sell their children to trafficking rings. 

 

• For the men and women involved in sex trafficking rings.  Ask that the Lord would either convict them of their sin and save their souls or remove them from the situation and bring them to justice so that they will be put behind bars, unable to cause any more harm. 

 

• For the Lord to restrain any man or woman who is going out today with the intention of abducting, abusing or trafficking.  Pray that the Lord will protect the children they set their sights on and frustrate all their evil plans. 

 

• For the Lord to put an end to the perpetration of child pornography.  Pornography and trafficking are inextricably linked. 

 

• For the Lord to rescue the children who have been trafficked before they are killed. 

 

• For the Lord to give success to the many organizations that are working tirelessly to rescue the victims of human trafficking.  Ask the Lord to help them and give them insight into where they need to look and what avenues to search. 

  

• For more Christians to join this prayer mission.  Ask the Lord to show Christians how serious and widespread this issue is, and how much their prayers are needed. 

 

• For the victims who have the courage to ask for help.  Pray that people will listen and act.  Most of the time, there is not enough help available for everyone that asks for it and often, the laws can protect the criminal more than the victim.   Did you know, world-wide, there are more laws protecting animals than for the protection of human life? 

 

• For neglected children.  Ask that the Lord would provide all their needs and for someone to come along and take care of them and point them to the Lord Jesus. 

 

• For the Lord to put a guard over the hearts and spirits of children in these abusive situations. 

 

• For the Lord to restrain and stop the abuse in the foster care and orphanage systems and to protect these children who have no other to protect them. 

 

• For laws to be changed to give more help to people in abusive situations. 

 

• For strength to be given to the parent who wants to get themselves and their children out of an abusive situation but is scared and doesn’t know how to go or where, or who to turn to. Pray that they would cry out to the Lord and ask Him to provide a way out for them. 

 

• For the families and victims/survivors destroyed or affected by abuse of any kind. Ask the Lord to bind up their wounds, strengthen and heal them. 

 

NOT FORGETTING… 

Whilst our hearts are burdened for the children and teenagers, we cannot ignore that millions of adults are also caught up in this sickening industry and we would never want to forget them (around 24.9 million people are believed to be trafficked each year and approximately 4.8 million into sex trafficking).  Please do pray for them too.  They are somebody’s child, somebody’s brother or sister and their lives are just as important.

Matthew 19 verse 14:  Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
